How long does it take to prep and fly a large plane? It is not trivial.
What are the odds they would do all that for a 20 MILE flight. It would cost a fortune too.
So. what seems more likely?
Instead of just driving there they would prepare a flight plan for a 20 mile flight, drive to the airport, load onto the plane, taxi, fly, and land about 3 minutes later...
OR
Her rumored medical condition flared up during flight so they immediately landed?
The condition she is rumored to have is one that is supposed to prohibit flying, unless you want to die. The change in altitude and plood pressure can be fatal.

Hillary will drop out of the race at the point that it is too late to get an alternate on the ballot. Trump will win. Obama will then claim it is an unprecedented situation and refuse to honor the election results. He will find Federal circuit court to agree with him. It will go to Supreme Court who will either refuse to hear it, or split 4-4. Suprisingly, Breyer and Kennedy will vote with Alito and Thomas against Obama. Roberts will side with the three witches. It goes back to Federal appeals court. Ruling stands. Fait accompli. Obama is dictator.
To be fair, there are no roads between the islands and the plane was already there.
Getting a boat big enough for queen H and her staff to do the round-trip would’ve probably been a bigger waste

I wouldn't fly 2 miles before I landed if that's the case.
Interesting theory.
When I read about her 20 mile flight I was wondering because unless there were landing strips nearly adjacent to the departure and destination points, you'd probably go nearly that far just to get to and from the plane. Add to that the cost (she wouldn't care since even if she were footing the bill, all she would have to do is hit up some radical islamic state for a "contribution") and the environmental impact - oh sorry, the rules are for little people, certainly NOT Her Thighness.
If flying is a risk for her, then how is she planning on going to any international events as POTUS?

I understand that the trip was between Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket - both islands, so driving would involve ferries back to mainland and then out again to Nantucket.
maybe there’s a boat between the two islands - I’ve never been there.
why isn’t some media type sitting on her doorstep watching every move and reporting on it ?

I plan domestic and international flight plans for a living. It would not take but a couple of minutes to plan, file, and create a Recall number for the crew to load the plan into their flight computer. That tech has come a long way in the last 10 years or so.

Not for nothing but there is no way to get from Martha’s Vineyard to Nantucket without either getting on a ferry or flying. I wouldn’t think the secret service would be thrilled to have her go on a ferry.
