I agree, journalism is in an awful state.
Far too many news articles fail to provide standard story-telling information framework detailing:
Who, what, when, where, why, and how.

We baby boomers learned that in our 3rd grade English class.

Last week there was an article about Germany beating Sweden. There I were descriptions of the gossip scored, including one for Sweden scored by a German. Nowhere in the article did it say what the sport was.
