I’ve followed and supported Trump intensely since he announced. I do not recall him saying he would deploy a “deportation force”. He has said simply that he will enforce immigration law. ICE already exist precisely to do so if they are instructed to follow the law rather than be forced to ignore our immigration laws.
His signature position regarding immigration is the wall. Not the overnight deportation of 20 million people.
Deporting convicts and gang bangers first and foremost is a good start. Over time, enforcement of existing law, strong employer penalties, and e verify will go a long way to solving this problem.
