Watching the awards ceremony and I notice not a single white guy on the team. Usually I wouldn't care and I'm all for putting the best players on the team but after all the whining we heard about no black nominees during the Academy Awards this must be asked.
Carmelo Anthony in his post-game interview said something interesting, “I know America can be great again.”
Hmmmmmm.
Not that it matters...much. So long as the players chosen produce a gold medal, is it important the melanin content of their skin and the haplo grouping they hail from?

Remember on SNL, they did a parody called “The Black Shadow” will Bill Russell as the coach who was always getting into trouble, and his white players always bailing him out.

The last nine Nobel prizes in Chemistry, Medicine, and Physics have gone to Europeans or East Asians.
Basketball is not a sport where Europeans excel at the top level.

My son had the same reaction to my watching an ancient NBA game between the Celtics and the Lakers, probably from the 1970’s. He thought it was college ball. :=)
West Point graduate and former Army officer, so he has credibility.
I think the Serbians, Lithuanians, Spaniards, and other Europeans playing / who have played in the NBA would disagree.
As for "Academy Awards", who cares. Self absorbed jackasses stroking other self absorbed jackasses. Hollyweird means nothing to me, or to most sentient beings.
White guys on the team would have signaled “white privilege” and “cultural appropriation”.
They teach us how to play ball . . we teach ‘em how to read!
I'm with you on this one.
Basketball keeps them off the streets and out of trouble. Most of the time. Sometimes.
