The plot of the Magic Flute is based on Medieval Mythology IIRC.

And what was allowable on the continent, (those foreigners you know) and what was allowable in Merrie ol England was two different things.

True. I wonder where I read that “The Magic Flute” was about Freemasonry, because I know I did! DP and I saw it done in San Antonio in a Southwestern Indian interpretation, all Navajo symbols and desert backgrounds.
