I have much admiration for Tony Bennett as a performer, but I haven’t felt the same about him since I heard him comment that he was not sure if WW2 was truly a battle worth winning.
Tony gets a lot of support for such remarks here in the S.F. Bay Area. He’s on the list of ‘safe’ or reliably progressive performers.
He’s a stinking filthy liberal, and I’m sick of seeing him hanging around the White House.
He left his heart in Cuba.. not SF.
A diehard liberal..
a no guns bleating heart lib..
Frank Bennett would take 80’s pop hits and perform them lounge act style.
I left my harp in Sam Clam’s disco...
Sorry,couldn’t resist.
And George Cory, the composer of, “I left my heart in San Fransisco’, committed suicide.
He’s a huge backer of Mrs. Bill too: what more could the American people want?
Tony Bennett on war:
The main thing I got out of my military experience was the realization that I am completely opposed to war. Every war is insane, no matter where it is or what its about. Fighting is the lowest form of human behavior.
Tony Bennett on gun control:
I just believe that assault weapons they were invented for war. They shouldnt be on our streets here.
This is the kind of thing that happened to the great country of Germany, where the Nazis came over, created tragic things, and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world is going to take care of us in a very bad way.”
.....
Tony Bennett is an idiot.
All civilized people abhor war, but sometimes it is the only thing that will stop evil.
The Nazi’s did not gain power because of the private ownership of gun. That was the last thing they wanted.
And I dare any foreign county to come over here to “take care of us”.
Well, Bennett certainly should refrain from his dumb political comments, but the man’s lyrical phrasing was the best I’ve ever heard, even better than Sinatra. And still sounds pretty good for his age.
is he naked?
