And before the inevitable accusations that I am a "concern troll" materialize, I just want to say that I posted this because I am horrified that the Trump campaign would let this guy on CNN without at least making sure that he could argue that the the polls are questionable and that there are polls where Trump is at least tied if not winning.

That seems like a serious unforced error.

The fact that this article/video link is from Town Hall is really beside the point. So in this case, I think complaints about Town Hall aren't really relevant.

No problem there. In the last 3 days Trump has pulled even with the media polls and other polls have Trump ahead. Michael Cohen did the best he could. Everyone knows CNN is not fair and has no credibility.

What should be repeated is that the polls often have very little real information in them. In many cases the margin of error exceeds the difference between the candidates. That's one reason the polling results are so rapidly changing, some of the change is just statistical noise.

Here is an example poll from the LA Times, notice that the results are always within the error band, so statistically speaking the poll doesn't tell you much of anything.

These "Polls" fly in the face of what anyone can see at Trump's rallies.

He should have come back with "The Only poll that counts is the one on election day."

“Isn’t winning” and “behind in the polls” are two vastly different concepts. The fact that some pundit would say that Trump isn’t winning this early is absurd. It is just too early.

By the polls, Reagan was not winning until just before the election, if then.

Hillary is spending millions to preserve what seems in many polls to be a small lead. Trump is spending very little.

I’m guessing this is not missed on the Hillary camp.

I would suspect that at some point Trump will start spending money on advertising and by the time he does Hillary will have had to show many of her best cards as well as spent a lot of her available resources.
