I used to hitchhike in Mexico in the 70s.

Some Australians I knew visited Mexico even in the late 80-90s, and liked it as a slow paced, budget place where one could live for a while, study Spanish, etc. Now, there are heartbreaking stories like this one:

I like PV lots,of US and canada there went this yer and hadn’t been for 15. Goo food, women, music, and lie shows now.
