It’s very, very unlikely — but new conservative independent candidate for president Evan McMullin can win. But only if he runs only in Utah. If, among swing states, Trump wins Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, he’ll have 273 electoral votes, three more than the 270 he needs to win. If he wins Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Iowa, he’ll have 272 electoral votes. Likewise if he wins Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Nevada. If he wins Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and New Hampshire, he’ll have 270 exactly. If he wins Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, Iowa, and New Hampshire (the states political prognosticator Nate Silver had him leading in before the Khizr Khan dust-up), he and Hillary will be tied, 269 each. There are a few other scenarios along these lines, wherein a) Hillary has too few votes to win outright, and b) Trump ends up with fewer than 275 electoral votes. These are the most likely ones.

At this point words fail. This guy is simply designed to deprive Trump of Utah. Does the GOPe even begin to contemplate how self-destructing their victory will be? Who the hell would ever support one of their candidates again?!?!
These people are not as delusional as they sound.
They are simply desperate to prevent the citizens from reversing 30 years of bipartisan policy of illegal alien inundation.

After a quick scan of the first few sentences, I have the same question.
He raises a nugget even he fais to grasp. Each Trump path to the mythical 270 is on the East Coast. On election day if they have not crowned Hillary by 8 PM EST it is President Trump!
It’s already been discussed. The bottom line is that McMullin won’t pull anybody who isn’t already a nevertrumper. And they already are not counted in Trump’s column.
My sense is that very few people want to throw away their vote.
The reality is the same in this election as it was in the last election. Either the Republican or the Democrat will be the new president. This time it will be Trump or Clinton.
It will not be McMullin or any of the other minor candidates. Removing Utah’s electors from Trump will only send them to Clinton ensuring a Clinton victory.
Reality is hard for these people.
They really don’t care who wins as long as it is not Trump.
If Trump wins, the citizens might get to keep the rule of law and their country and our political leaders simply won’t allow that.
Unreal. You have a candidate who has a very, very real chance not just of winning but of taking states no one won since G. H. W. Bush-—and then you have bozo the clown here touting some douchenozzle that no one heard of who couldn’t win an election to local dog catcher.
Win what? A gold star for participation. These #nevertrumpers are some scary stupid deluded whacked out morons.
I am glad the Framers had the foresight to provide for a solution to when no candidate had a majority of EV’s, but to want that to happen in today’s political climate is insane.
I have always believed in America, in the American promise. That we have, more or less, really free elections and that, more or less, elections matter. That pretty much ended about eight years ago.
I saw a George Carlin comedy sketch about “the system” where he was saying we’re all just sheeple and we’re all kept in line by the government and they don’t want us to be educated.
For the first time in my life, Carlin began to sound like he was talking sense.
McMuffin can win if Earth is attacked by extraterrestrials who defeat humans and then demand that we elect McMuffin or die.
At least some of us had heard of the previous NeverTrumper possible candidate, Mr. French.

2008 was a watershed for me as well.
After watching the GOP nominate the author of the 2 previous amnesty attempts, I knew the nominating process was rigged.
When everyone in the media and political office went after people who knew what natural born citizen meant as if they were lunatics, I knew we were gone as a country.
Both parties wanted the natural born citizen requirement eliminated.
The up and comers of the GOP, Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, and Haley were all born of foreign national parents with foreign national allegiances and ineligible.
WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!! Go away Evan, and take the neverTrumpers with you.
No one realizes it, but NY is in play. A simple “the clintons are carpetbaggers” and everything associated with it will give Trump the state.
He is holding back, but it’s coming. And the DNC doesn’t see it yet.
