Meryl Streep: Trump Rallies Fueled by Bloodlust
Truth Revolt ^ | Aug. 11, 2016 | Tiffany Gabbay

Posted on 08/12/2016 6:48:07 AM PDT by rickmichaels

Acclaimed actress and Hillary Clinton loyal Meryl Streep was "shocked" at colleague Clint Eastwood's recent interview with Esquire magazine, in which he said he would vote for Donald Trump and said that it would be difficult to listen to Mrs. Clinton's voice for four years.

Newsbusters parsed excerpts from Streep's response, which was recently published in Variety magazine:

Speaking to Variety magazine, Streep expressed “shock” at Eastwood’s comments: “I’ll have to speak to him…I’ll have to correct that! I’m shocked. I really am. Because he’s more — I would have thought he would be more sensitive than that.”

It’s fair to wonder how shocking it was for Streep when Eastwood was an outspoken supporter of Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election where he took the stage at the RNC and famously (and hilariously) compared President Barack Obama to an empty chair.

Streep seems to think that people act differently when they are alone or with only a few people, but when together in large groups, it’s another story. She told Variety:

"When you get a lot of people in a group, it can go good or it can go bad in a way that [overrides] each individual person… aggregate of everybody’s emotion, it’s such a powerful thing. You can see it in the Trump rallies, where people I just know, in their living rooms, would be better people, are driven to the worst possibilities by the bloodlust in a crowd. It just gets ginned up and they’re outside of themselves. They’re behaving as a larger unit, not just themselves."

As always, members of the Left live in their own bubble and regurgitate only the narratives heard on mainstream media. It's been documented that the so-called "volatile" nature of Trump supporters at their candidate's rallies is more than an overblown media construct, and that by and large Trump rallies and those in attendance are largely good-natured. What's more, what liberals see -- or think they see -- in others, they can never see in themselves. We wonder if Streep would have talked the same way about the "bloodlust" that had in fact become par for the course at Bernie Sanders' rallies and supporter protests -- replete with American and Israeli flag burnings.

The Clinton camp boasts that it has or, will, garner some 93 percent of those Bernie supporters, which then should give people like Streep reason to pause.

But it won't. Because in the minds of out-of-touch celebrities, only they and theirs are enlightened. And those who disagree are Nazis.

I’m so sick of Mizz Streep I could gag. I watched her smirking on camera, in a televised biography of Clint Eastwood, making a remark about Clint Eastwood that ended with “ . . . but he’s a REPUBLICAN.”

Meryl Streep has blood coming out of her ...... eyes. HA

The nut case pretends to be other people for a living. She lives in an imaginary state 24/7.

“STOP GOING TO MOVIES”

I’ve already done that, Hildy. Even when any of their movies come to TV, I don’t watch. There’s always something better on another channel.

You can always tell when an actress is in the sunset of her Hollywood career.

Doesn’t she have a new movie coming out like today? Seriously.

Well, now we can make a point of skipping it. It is today and called “Florence Foster Jenkins”.

Meryl’s new movie is just opening, so of course she is ginning up the publicity machine. The celebs are so predictable these days.

I quit going out to the movies long ago. I will see something on the big screen once in a blue moon if I am really interested in the movie. Otherwise, if I can’t check out the DVD at the library (no fees are charged in my system), I give the movies a miss.

What's more, what liberals see -- or think they see -- in others, they can never see in themselves.

but subconsciously they are projecting their own hostile mob mentality to Trump supporters

“...but one who simply can’t believe another famous actor might NOT be a liberal stooge.”

Yes, I guess this is what having so much money in Hollywood does to your brain. It is nice to live in a cocoon of money sheltering their minds from reality. That being the case as we see, I think I will just die poor, happy and with self respect.

Who needs to go to the movies? Watching TV at home is a simpler way of provoking a barfing spell.

Probably also wants to be the actress playing “Hillary”, if a movie on her ever comes out. Of course only if Hillary is viewed in a positive way. Streep wouldn’t even have to change her looks.

Isn’t the term “blood lust” a sexist statement? If I said Hilary supporters have synchronous PMS, would I be making a sexist comment?
