I think the answer to that is pretty darned dangerous.
They are just protecting our sensitivities...
No problem butchering unborn children in the womb - just call it abortion and fetal tissue (like skin tissue, or cancer tissue).
No problem with terrorism, just call it mental illness or workplace violence.
This family has three other children, two younger than ten!
Way too young, too short and too small to be on this ride. Parents should have said absolutely not if kiddo even asked if he could ride. Park employees should have never allowed him to climb those stairs, regardless of whether a parent was with them or not and regardless of who the parent is.
Given how inexpensive cameras are, I would think they would have many on the side rail to observe if people were coming out of harnesses or if the raft was going correctly - seems like for safety they would want to observe details.
The information came out a day or two ago. You may have missed it.
“Verrukt” is German for “slaughter” as in kill an animal to make meat from it.
It was used in a particularly crude anti semitic Nazi graffito in Germany during the 1930s.
There are stories from people who said that the harness broke at the same spot the young man died and they had to hold on with their hands. These were grown men and the slide goes over 65 miles and hour.
Also, the child was too short, too young and under-weight to be riding. They had a cut off age of 14 and he was 10. And the 3 man toboggen had to weight in excess of 450 pounds or it had problems.
After this happened, calls from the public are coming in that a lot of people experienced the broken harness.
I read that the boy's head arrived at the bottom of the slide before the body. This was according to a worker at the ride. The steel support frame for the safety netting is what caused the injury.
Because it is nobody's business. Respect the family's privacy at a time like this.
They need to know exactly how dangerous these rides can be.
No they don't. Boy rides, boy dies. If that doesn't help make the public's decision on whether to go or stay away from this water park, no amount of details will help them.
No, it was negligent parents combined with negligent ride operators combined with negligent design. Nothing 'freak' about it.
“The two adult women he was traveling with on the slide also suffered injuries. One suffered a broken jaw, and the other a broken bone in her face and had to have stitches in her eye, according to the local news station.”
Noticed that in the article at your link. Sounds like the kid struck them on the way up & out of the raft.
Good golly.
“verrukt” means crazy.
What part of the body do you think generally gets injured in a decapitation?
A Dale Earnhardt injury - separation of head and spinal cord without necessarily separating head from rest of body
usually referred to as an ‘internal decapitation’.
My theory is the two women sitting at the back weighing over 200 lbs each caused the nose of the raft to hydroplane and lift enough to catch the boy's head in the safety netting above.
The typical camera shot of that group of riders would be horrific.
That is the name of the water PARK.
