How to Hack an Election in 7 Minutes
Politico ^ | August 5, 2016 | Alex Halderman

When Princeton professor Andrew Appel decided to hack into a voting machine, he didn’t try to mimic the Russian attackers who hacked into the Democratic National Committee's database last month. He didn’t write malicious code, or linger near a polling place where the machines can go unguarded for days. Instead, he bought one online.

So.

Recently I have been pondering the seriously crazy times we live in. Corruption has always existed, and of course, vote fraud has always existed. But, undoubtedly many fair elections have been held in the history of the Republic.

I think things are now very different. I think we are literally in a post-democratic era.

Here's what has changed. The brazenness of the Clintons is breathtaking. It's actually diabolical. They are openly committing treason by arming Isis, and by enriching themselves by doing so. And that's only the recent stuff. Their corruption is so far beyond what we used to understand as corruption, really we need a new word. Treason is a good one, but even that falls short because even treason assumes some concept of loyalty somewhere in there to the United States which has been betrayed. In any event, their brazenness about Huma who is obviously a Saudi/Muslim brotherhood agent (and obviously hilary's lover), about all they are doing to take Saudi money, and about enriching themselves is shocking.

So really if you are the Clintons and are into (and easily getting away with) THAT...then vote fraud is really a low stakes game. Obviously they have the will and the motive. And as this article shows, it won't even be that difficult.

So...like many of you here...I have concluded that this next national election will be a farce, that the polls in fact are rigged to condition us for the inevitable outcome and to match the numbers that will be generated by the vote counters (remember Stalin's little moment of truth?). Nowhere in there does the votes cast matter all that much.

Also I think the role of the press here is without parallel. They used to just be grossly biased and unfair and liberal. Now they are absolutely co-conspirators.

The other thing that led me to this conclusion is the fact that Trump is absolutely crushing hilary in every respect in social media...where it is much more difficult to generate fraudulent numbers. And all of this comes in the context of my (for personal reasons) having learned a lot about YouTube in the last year and a half. YouTube is about the purest market the world has ever known. It is extremely difficult to fool their processes...it is probably impossible in the long run (which is what you would expect of a public company). AND...simultaneously...if you just look at the numbers closely and consider that YouTube has global reach, you realize, YouTube is KILLING traditional broadcast media. It really is. So YouTube and all aspects of social media contain far more truth than the media/political/vote fraud operation currently in place. And again, in social media, Trump is winning big.

So we are living, in my opinion, in a post-democratic world.

So what does that mean for the Trump campaign?

I don't honestly know. To me this feels like the Soviet Union in 1990-1991. Or more particularly, Russia. At that time, the Russian people with their many massive demonstrations, together with a very well-organized but still also very organic and spontaneous resistance movement (multi-faceted) were able to lift up Boris Yeltsin and get rid of Gorbachev and the Soviet Union. (Obviously Yeltsin became a bit of a joke later...but only b/c of the alcohol. Fortunately, Trump doesn't drink at all). Are we at this same stage in history?

I do believe (referencing Trump's social media numbers....) that Trump has fundamentally ignited something which will be hard to contain if the Clintons steal the election....which they are clearly capable of doing. They have the motive, the money, and the technology. How can they possibly be stopped?

So how does this play out? I don't know. But I think massive, peaceful protests have to begin. I don't think most people like us (ie, people with jobs and families) are up for that.....not yet. But we are far closer than we were without Trump. He has emboldened us. He has shown us that we are likely a majority.

But I fear the situation might not be bad enough for us to take to the streets if the Clintons are able to steal the election.

But...for better or worse, I believe that is where we are. The important part of the Trump campaign is not organizing for election day, but for all that occurs after.

I appreciate feedback.

just imagine when hacking elections gets so bad that both sides start claiming they received 90+% of all votes. Flip a coin or nullify the election?

It could be. I encourage you to search for yesterday’s version of this thread...Same story. About 75 posts.

Trump’s folks need to map every voting district and the #registered and challenge any over 100%.

That video is revealing, and sickening.

Is the fog going to lift?

Are we going to stop collectively believing the lie?

So what does that mean for the Trump campaign?

This is from Politico.... So, it might mean the Dems are worried that Russia may hack the election in favor of Trump otherwise, this would never be news. ( Because Dems don't like their cheating exposed but since this type of cheating might work against them, they will sound the alarm.)

I get that.

It’s ironic. Or it is part of a plan.

But that’s sort of the point, isn’t it?

If the clintons are involved, elections are a farce. You have to interpret everything they say or do (or their pravda media says or does) is part of their attempt to stay ahead of the narrative.

Or maybe Trump is ahead of the curve...maybe somehow he is either stopping their attempts....or he is correcting their corrections...and they want to resort to the charge that HE stole the election?

(When in fact, he would be righting the election).

Everything is topsy-turvy.

So what does that mean for the Trump campaign?

WHat this means is they are merely planting the seed of Voter Fraud BY A foreign government, So that when Hillary Loses the election, it will then be VOIDED by OBAMA as Fraudulent and Tampered with, Hacked, Suspicious,...and the HOUSE IS FREE TO CHOOSE HILLARY AS PRESIDENT!!!

I’m sort of hoping that someone can disagree and say that the election will be fair...and that Trump is going to win b/c his votes are going to be honestly counted....And that the Clintons are just a little power hungry, and liberal. Not that they are actually funding Isis and profiting from it.

I wish what seems to be the case were otherwise.

Or Hillary's internal poll numbers are so bad they are trying to pave the road for "This election was stolen" and will blame Trump and his so called Russian connections.

He didn’t try to mimic the Russian attackers who hacked into the Democratic National Committee's database last month.

I have to wonder about any article that starts with an unnecessary sentence trying to perpetuate the Democrat talking point that the Russians hacked into their computer system. No one know if the released emails had anything to do with hacking, the Russians, or anything else. It may have just been a disgruntled Bernie supporter with access who leaked the emails. Currently the Democrats are slipping the Russian thing into every article we see. It is nonstop misdirection.

That could be right.

Think about it this way.

Even the vote fraud shown in that video take some sort of pre-programming, right? Doesn’t that require work/time/effort/money?

They may know from their real, internal polls that hilary has no chance.

They know that vote fraud exists...and that it is extremely easy....and they know it, b/c they invented it and practice it constantly.

So why wouldn’t they do just exactly that? Get one step ahead, try to “win the election” through their normal fraud routes, and if that fails, then do exactly what you say? Produce “evidence” that the Russians tried to steal it on Trump’s behalf...and then THEY will take to the streets first?

The GOP will fall into line, of course. They will be “shocked and outraged” that Trump would allow the Russians to hack on his behalf. Then they will cast votes for “fair elections”. And pathetically, some of them will even do this in good conscience...b/c some of them are simply naive. Others, mainly leadership, are in on it.

Isn’t this exactly how you would think if you were on hilary’s campaign, and knew that what matters is not vote-casting, but vote-casting and then getting organized Alinsky-like to hit the streets?

It is nonstop misdirection.”

TRUE...it is planned.

But the fundamental premises is true, no?

Does anyone seriously think that vote fraud on a massive scale is not easily doable?

If you were a hilary campaign worker...knowing all this...you should have a plan to “expose vote fraud” and you will be in a perfect position to do so...because you know it so well.

Electronic hacking of voting machines is where there exists a real risk of voting fraud. And yet, we see many of our representatives pretending that there are people going to great lengths in order to vote illegally or to vote a second time. I don't know anyone who would invest that kind of time or take those kind of risks to add an illegal vote.

The real risk involves these electronic machines. No one has to wear a disguise or lie about his identity to hack a voting machine. I wish that the folks who run around passing laws regarding special types of identification would instead concentrate their efforts on either securing these electronic machines or doing away with them. We still use paper ballots where I vote.

It IS sickening, and revealing, and so much more. We know they cheat, and we (and they) also know that we’re helpless to do anything about it. I haven’t “believed the lie” of fair elections in decades.
