From a "what are the facts" point of view, the condition is even more dire. Many of the sources cited by the press are liars in the first place!
I pray that the media-created myth that the press has a duty or mission to be objective, or has some sort of 1st amendment duty, or similar claptrap, I pray that the public come to know as a myth. Individuals have a personal duty to derive the truth, and the press stands only as a salesman for the press-preferred point of view. Of course this salesman is going to use, as part of the pitch, a claim that his snake oil is the real thing.

The part where you go down the list of discredited journalists makes me think we should be focusing on those who have not yet been exposed. Who are they sleeping with? Who’s paying them off? In what other ways are they compromised? Time to expose some more of the liars.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I posted this as a vanity because I was choking on my rage at the lies and obfuscations being propagated by the press. It’s bad enough that the media aren’t digging into the emails themselves, instead deflecting ire at this ridiculous Putin conspiracy and now the Khan job. But just as bad is their own refusal to look in the mirror and examine their own sins.
If the press don’t even pretend to cast a critical, objective eye on their own agenda, then what good are they? You know you’re not going to get information from them, and that certainly you can’t use what little you DO get to make any kind of informed decision. So why would anyone subscribe? Why would anyone watch? Why would anyone listen?
I too am disgusted by the so called media. Charlie Rose acts like he is Hillary's lover he is so close to the election and so anti-Trump. Same for so many others in the media - it's a disgrace to their so called profession. I think hookers have more credibility.

Those “in the business” are too busy scanning the Wikileaks dump for their own names; others are too scared that their names with more serious incriminating nature will be dumped later this year in the election cycle.
