Good post but I would point out that our past candidates who lost the show were the ones who, in the face of constant lies and vicious attacks, opted to take the "moral high ground" and not respond in kind.

If the enemy is using a bazooka, you don't respond with a cap pistol.

Don't fail to respond, but take a bit more time to formulate very stinging responses that can't be refuted because a couple of words were not correctly used.
