What is “RABA Research”? Literally have never heard of them, and I follow polls religiously.
Note: This is likely voters, as it should be. Trump will lose at least half of his 4% lead to systematic fraud, so he needs to campaign hard in VA to expand that margin. Still, it’s very good news.
I mean, seriously, you came back here after four months just to post that laughable analysis?
That may be, and it underscores a strength and weakness of Trump. He speaks like no other candidate, and he doesn’t back down to leftist bullies like most Republicans do. People like that, even if they are unsure about Trump overall.
But he also steps out on the ledge on something like this when its all risk and no reward. It’s inconceivable that he didn’t discuss how to handle this situation with his inner circle, and it seems inconceivable that they advised him to say what he’s said so far.
Of course no matter what Trump said, the democrats and their media acolytes would not let this go and they’d keep it alive as long as they could. But why Trump couldn’t have just said that he respects the son’s service, and he’s sorry for their loss, but still opposes mass Muslim immigration. He could also ask why, if the media is so eager to see policy set by anecdote and particular examples, and point out that the Khan’s would have been excluded had Trump’s plan been in effect back then, then it’s fair game to point out the terrorist acts and murders committed by Muslims that would not have occurred, and the American lives that wouldn’t have been lost had more restrictive immigration laws been in place.
Instead he invites the Khan wife to give a second helping that the media will play up, and actually takes the bait and answers the ‘sacrifice’ question.
