Would he prefer in-ground burial or cremation?

If he misses the target, it will be in-ground burial by default.

It’s not falling 25,000 feet through the air that will kill him.

SPLAT!

How far does the net throw him back up into the bottom of the plane?

With uniform deceleration and utilizing all 200 feet to stop (neither possible) he would pull 2.42 g and stop in 2.27 seconds. A rough ride on body appendages/ neckbones.

Yes. It’s that sudden stop that ruins your day.
Well, one thing’s for sure. If there ever was a case which illustrates “you brought it on yourself,” this is it.

We'll know how it goes in a minute (actually 2 1/2 minutes).

25,000 feet/5,280 feet = 4.73485 miles. Speed: 118 mph = 1.96667 miles/minute. Thus, 4.73485/1.96667 = 2.4075 minutes = 2 minutes and 24.45 seconds. Add a couple of seconds for acceleration and speed control and say two and a half minutes.

I will just assume your math is flawless because; I am just too lazy to do the calculations myself. But you are assuming he hits the center of the net. If he is off-center by much at all, the braking forces will exponentially increase. And at 25,000 ft, this net is a very small target.

For a parent with a 4 year old child; this is perhaps the single most selfish and irresponsible act a parent is capable of performing.
