Discrimination is a primary mark of intelligence. To throw that out, is to be a stupid little so and so, a good little democrat, not worth a pinch of monkey shit, in other words.
That's true. But it matters where you draw the line. For example, consider a person who classifies others who are not saints as being not being worthy of help. That person is probably being a bit too discriminating.
That's an extreme example, I know. But I hope you get my point anyway.
I get your point; It’s a good point. We would be better people if we helped whomever we could regardless of who they are. Idealism is nice, and I believed, for a while. Reality just squashes it like a bug. Perhaps the middle road is best: don’t be blind, and don’t be hawk eyed, neither. Keep the golden rule, and keep your guard up also.
