I’m glad you didn’t bother, it’s just another one of those ‘we know where they came from’ stories that answer nothing, there’s such a difference between the various tribes here it’s obvious their origins were totally different. On the East Coast, as one member of a particular tribe described to me, they have strict rules as to ‘skin’ and whom they are allowed to associate with and marry, it’s just like the caste system of the sub-continent of India.
You don’t get a caste system unless there are many skin tones to choose from.
On the West coast you have rock art that’s typical of ancient rock art as in the Sahara...see Bradshaw website. People have been moving all over the planet as sea levels rose and fell, they didn’t need to cross oceans to get here, they walked.
That mystery ancestor might have had ancestors who died out in the region they came from.
