Surveillance video from a Beijing animal park shows a woman getting out of a car in a Siberian tiger enclosure, where she was attacked by one of the animals. Her mother and husband are seen going after her.
According to The New York Times, the woman exited the vehicle because of an argument with her husband. Other news outlets claimed friends denied they were fighting.
The woman survived, but her mother died trying to save her. The husband was not hurt.
Her child, who remained in the car, was uninjured.
That was one stupid lady. You do not get out of your car at such a park.
Yeah, got her mother killed because of it.
I have to think these animals see the cars coming through as “meals in a can.”
It wasn’t a tiger! It was Debbie Wasserman Schultz going berserk!
Not bright.
In my minds eye I could only image what it was like for those dragged off by a tiger. It's as bad as I imagined.
i>...getting out of a car in a Siberian Tiger enclosure...</i> I didn’t know tiger’s had drive-through enclosures open for business.
oops for the last post.
So was it the woman who got dragged off who was killed was it the other lady who appeared later in the video?
VIOLA! A two-fer. Give that man a cigar!
The second lady, which was the woman’s mother-very sad.
Not for the weak of stomach. They drop them off while still alive so the tigers can feed under their natural feeding behavior.
That’s some wry humor there!
What is it with some women, who get angry and get out of the car to walk home????
I’ve had that happen on dates. My dates didn’t get killed by a tiger, but, just saying, they get in an argument, feelings hurt, or whatever, while in a car, and they want out. They want out no matter where they are or what the circumstances are.
A friend of mine had this happen to him on the freeway. His girlfriend wanted out on the side of a freeway.
Just finished re-reading Man-Eaters of Kumaon.by Jim Corbett.
In my minds eye I could only image what it was like for those dragged off by a tiger. It’s as bad as I imagined.

Have you ever seen that movie “The Ghost and the Darkness”?
I’m amazed the first woman survived being dragged off like that.
Yes, a very good movie. Just watched it about a week ago on, On Demand.
BTW, I saw the actual lions when I went to Chicago some years ago.
I’m surprised they don’t break the windows when they see humans in cars.
I was on safari once in Kenya with my then-girlfriend. She was a ... demanding personality...
There were a bunch of safari vans off the road in the tall grass in an area where I expected to find leopards. Finding a leopard is hard to do, so I headed off into the tall grass in my Renault 4, to see what there was to see.
The Renault was a small hatchback, so the grass was about halfway up the windows, and we couldn’t see a thing. The people in the Kombi vans were snapping photos and pointing, and clearly the leopard was about 20 feet away, but it might as well have been on the moon, for all the good it did us.
Well, my girlfriend started bitching about wanting to see the leopard. I explained that we were out of luck, and we would just have to back out the way we came, and maybe we would get lucky later if the animal moved into the shorter grass.
She was really giving me the business and just would not let it go. After about five minutes of this, she reaches for the door handle to get out of the car so she can stand up to get a picture. I was tempted for about a microsecond to just let her go, but quickly reached over and slammed the door.
A driver in a nearby fan told me, very politely, that if I let the lady get out of the car, he would have to call the Rangers.
