Let’s see how this works with examples. If you would be horrified as a homeowner if a criminal was breaking into your house, then you should be horrified at criminals breaking into your country. If you have family and property you care about and think it is necessary to build a wall to help protect them, then you should feel it necessary and proper to build a border for your country that is secure. If you think it is crazy to make a sandwich for a burglar in your home, hand him your money, and lend your car to drive of and go shopping, then it is also crazy to give welfare and driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. If you would never associate with a rude, homicidal maniac who belonged to a cult that excused any violence against you then logically you would never ally your country with Saudi Arabia.
