I had read most of the history, but D’Souza told the story in a crisp, powerful way. I didn’t know much about Ida B. Wells, and D’Souza rightly portrayed her as a heroic figure.
I liked the scene in which Wilson followed the apparition of the Night Rider onto the White House lawn.
I think it was on Zerohedge, but a black minister talked about how that movie “Birth of a Nation” sparked a two generation rise of the KKK - and how actual black violence against whites from the knockout game to calls for segregation and deaths of whites could lead to a far greater backlash because today’s attacks are real whereas the movie was fake.
