Twitter accused of suppressing DNC Wikileaks story

Twitter lit up Friday night with allegations that it tried to suppress news that secret-leaking website Wikileaks exposed thousands of emails obtained from the servers of the Democratic National Committee.

Friday afternoon, users noted, "#DNCLeaks" was trending, with more than 250,000 tweets about it on the platform. By Friday evening, it vanished completely from the site's "trending" bar for at least 20 minutes. It returned as "#DNCLeak" after users erupted, though it was too late to quell their rage.

This identifies them as a biased political organization
- and part of the al Qaeda TREASON network.

There might be tax, and even license issues, coming.

I think it is about time that the media is sued for their compensation to the Democrat monolith. Illegal campaign contributions!

Payoff would be nice. many old media types still own good real estate.

And it would certainly be easy to prove intent, and malice.

The story certainly puts a lie to the Twitter line that the “trending” picks are all determined by computer algorithms.

I agree.

The media would howl, and attempt to hide behind the First Amendment (as they always do). However, they are not allowed to break existing law, but they, like Democrats, feel they are above the Law. And why not? They have been getting away with this scam for decades.

The media will spin the Second Amendment into dust, crying "reasonable restrictions." But they feel the First Amendment allows them to engage in conspiracy, to violate campaign finance laws, and to do whatever the hell they please.

If any Republican had used the word "dark" in that context, he/she would instantly have been accused of being a racist, of using a "racist code word" or a "racist dog whistle" to incite hatred and violence among fellow racists in the party.

I’m sure they would rather still be endlessly discussing Malania Trump’s non-troversy.

Twitter absolutely is censoring. I was on Twitter last night and this morning retweeting many tweets with #DNCLeaks (to bump it up on the trending list). Hundreds of times Twitter would not let me send the “tweet” saying “You have already sent this tweet”, and I KNOW I hadn’t.

That has never happened to me before. They are censoring.

I’m wondering why #hillaryseizure isn’t showing anything.

But I don’t tweet so I may be missing something.

We will lose the internet if the Right side doesn’t manage to replace Facebook and Twitter with either noncensored or conservative versions of same. Now that FedGov owns the Internet, even that will ultimately be squashed if it happens. The Feds will ultimately take charge of determining what is appropriate content and will remove anything else like whole sites such as FR. Total power is total power.
