Americans increasingly favor tougher gun laws by margins that have grown wider after a steady drumbeat of shootings in recent months, but they also are pessimistic that change will happen anytime soon, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll.
Nearly two-thirds of respondents expressed support for stricter laws, with majorities favoring nationwide bans on the sale of semi-automatic assault weapons such as the AR-15 and on the sale of high-capacity magazines holding 10 or more bullets.

I hope next weeks DNC convention is full of speeches calling for more gun control, it's a losing issue for the 'rats.

Only because the people don’t know that gun control cities have the most shootings. They hate all the shootings and they want them to stop, but they are too stupid to read the truth about gun ownership.

Lemme guess they polled all the blue states in areas where the Gays, La Razans, Race Baiters, and Progressive Commies are heaviest, right?
What a convention that will be. One that will have a clear anti-police and anti-second amendment theme while it nominates a presidential ticket that has two white globalists who are the embodiment of political corruption. The media can frame that convention all they want, but it will be promoting a stealth Hate America theme from start to finish.
Polling only people who work in the newsroom doesn’t count.

Every poll I've seen says respondents overwhelmingly distrust the media.
