“Why is she just suing for 25K? She should be suing for the price of the entire house, unless homes in Ohio are selling for 25K new....”
You might want to check “Realtor.org”. There is a reason that Trump is doing really well in the Midwest, after all.
Having nailed a stud or two, something is WEIRD here. Windows are generally flat, and the sun moves through the sky. If the sun hits a winda (as we call them here in Texas), the reflection may well hit the neighboring house, but (unless the Earth stops rotating) the sun’s reflection will quickly move away and any spot will, at worst, see the effect of being directly in the sun in the first place, with no reflection.
Bottom line - this vinyl siding is TOTAL CRAP and someone needs to pay big (maybe the builder...unless he was tricked by the supplier).
“One going up near us is made of OSB. For supporting walls.”
The term: PLYWOOD doesn’t even exist anymore here in Texas, unless SOME OF US, me included, demand it.
OSB is pure crap - but it is cheaper.

Those OSB houses will last 25 years. Likely it’s costing $200k, as well, which is a lot for so little.
We have a 100-year-old house which we’ve added to over 40 years with good materials. We need to downsize, but what’s available is scary and sad.
It is scary. Like I said, I’ve hammered a 2x4 or two. The old houses used to NOT have insulation, and they BREATHED. So they deteriorated, but MUCH SLOWER than today’s houses, particularly those that are ‘sealed’ or have ‘foam’, so be really careful, unless you and mold are best buddies.
We redid all the insulation and the new additions are fine. I have two closets on the north side that can be mildewey in summer, so I keep an eye on them.
Ok, cool, anything you can do to get fresh air there will help.
