It was the best political speech I’ve heard. I absolutely LOVED IT.

The only criticism I had is that I wish he would have mentioned the unborn and the sanctity of human life. I feel that is so important.

One area that may have needed a little more elaboration (not for us), although the speech was already very long, he could have added just a little more of what he would do to improve healthcare by repealing Obamacare (I say that for the Bernie voters and independents who like Obamacare he is reaching out for). That’s kind of me picking at straws, though.

I’ll tell you this. I put CNN on after. They truly are the Clinton News Network. Ana Navarro the Republican whined he didn’t speak about legal immigrants (because there is no problem with legal immigrants, dope). Van Jones was hyperventilating that he was watching a dictator ascend, that Trump is racist towards black people.

I was so dejected that I switched over to Fox. I saw on Twitter that there was a panel on CNN where the people who watched didn’t hate it like their pundits spun it. Fox had a Frank Luntz panel, and Trump’s speech had sold 7 people in the room (maybe 1/3). No one came away liking Hillary.

I then switched back to CNN and saw poll results came in:

Impression:
57% positive
24% negative

Right direction or wrong:
73% right direction
24% wrong direction
18% (I didn’t get if that was undecided or neutral)

Before the convention, 60% said right direction. Trump upped it 13% points.

More or less likely to vote:
56% more likely to vote for him
32% no effect
10% negative

That drove a nail through CNN’s coverage. Now they are attempting to moderate a bit. Wolf seemed a bit bewildered that people saw the speech so favorably. It gave me hope that people aren’t buying the media spin.

“That drove a nail through CNN’s coverage.”

:) I watched the whole CNN deal...they hammered him right after the speech...then the results of the poll and the focus group came in and they switched gear so fast, it would make your head spin.

The CNN focus group of undecided voters, went 9 out of 15 that were more likely to vote.

Yes, when their poll results came in, first Wolf or whoever had to remind the viewers, “Remember, this poll is for anyone who watched the speech, which already skews it toward Donald.... “ sheesh. I will be watching Hillary’s speech even though I despise her and her criminal, lying ways. She really IS a criminal, whereas as Ivanka said last night, her dad is colorblind and genderblind.

The poll numbers were very encouraging. It was a great speech. Hearing CNN call it a white speech is ridiculous. They just want black and Hispanic people called out and worshiped or patronized. They don’t care about whites or even Asians. I’d like speeches about America by our nominee to be about Americans. This dividing into needy, greedy groups is getting ridiculous.

I put CNN on after.... Ana Navarro the Republican whined he didn’t speak about legal immigrants (because there is no problem with legal immigrants, dope).

There are serious problems with legal immigration that would have stirred up a hornets' nest if he had gone into them. First is that the steadily rising numbers of legal immigrants admitted has skyrocketed under recent administrations, contributing to the destabilization of our economy and society.

Second, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 pushed on the US by the Kennedy brothers has for the past half-century lessened the proportion of white Europeans admitted and increased the number of persons from markedly different cultures. That is when islamists first began gaining a foothold in our nation, and they soon began organizing how they would take us over. (See the Long Plan for Change, 1991; scroll down for translation.) By now, "cultural jihadists" have multiple institutions in place to assist in their planned overthrow.

And thirdly, to stay on the positive side, Trump's speech did mention that allowing so many illegals to burden our economy and society makes it harder for legal immigrants to establish themselves economically and rise above the poverty they were trying to escape.

"But my greatest compassion will be for our own struggling citizens. My plan is the exact opposite of the radical and dangerous immigration policy of Hillary Clinton. Americans want relief from uncontrolled immigration. Communities want relief. Yet Hillary Clinton is proposing mass amnesty, mass immigration, and mass lawlessness. Her plan will overwhelm your schools and hospitals, further reduce your jobs and wages, and make it harder for recent immigrants to escape from poverty."

Van Jones was hyperventilating that he was watching a dictator ascend, that Trump is racist towards black people.

Van Jones is an avowed communist, so you can just ignore any sort of reasoning process behind his remarks—he is just going to spout the CPUSA line in complete opposition to actual facts. The Convention just got done showcasing many people of color who were long-time friends or employees of Trump and who admire and even love the man and his family deeply. The real problem is why CNN considers Van Jones worth their air time.
