I’m pretty sure that he did say it. I’d have to re-listen to know for certain.

I’m quite sure he did at the end, perhaps the feed you were watching cut away

I noticed that too, but then it occurred to me that he said “God bless you” speaking to the collective audience.

I thought it was a way of saying that the people listening are America.

Many, many politicians who have disappointed us in the past have ended a string of empty promises with “God bless America”.

Perhaps it was an unintended error of omission, but perhaps it was just another way to differentiate himself from what has gone on before.

Frankly, as long as he builds the wall and makes our allies pony up and are enemies fear us, I can live with the omission.

So?? Is that a major consideration?

Obama always says it...but he doesn’t mean it...

Trump doesn’t need to say it every speech to tell me he wants what is good for America.

He did not say God bless America.

That's been used in speeches before; he'd be accused of plagiarism.

He did not say God bless America.

He never does. That is very brave of him, and he gets my respect for that.

We are a secular country. I give major props to Trump for not concentrating on bible verses and such. I liked Cruz until he got so Jesus Wacky. Trump respects Christians - no doubt about it. He is probably Christian himself. However we are NOT a Christian nation. There are plenty of us atheists out there - a very large voting block. You would be surprised how many conservative atheists there are. It's a breath of fresh air, and shows a level of respect for those who are not Christians or part of the desert-god Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, Muslim)
