I don’t know that Cruz “destroyed his career” with last night’s belly flop into an empty pool. People have short memories - and he is a young man. In 1962, after losing the California gubernatorial election to Pat Brown, Richard Nixon beefed: “You won’t have Nixon to kick around any more.” Six years later, Nixon was President of the United States.
Cruz whiffed. He laid an egg on the national stage. He blew it. And - maybe - it was his Gary Hart moment. But we’ll see.
I can assure you, Ted Cruz, is going nowhere...his days as a meaningful, Republican politician are over.....ended for all time!!!
