No link. I heard it on fox news.

Police association is wanting Ohio state law regarding open carry suspended so there are no open guns during the Republican convention.

Kasich has refused their request.

I see no evidence to support that bikers for Trump will be armed.

Not sure if that was the guy I just saw on Fox.

He was a retired Police Officer (or something), and was upset at Kasich for not suspending the Constitutional Rights of Citizens who Open Carry, (my translation).

He also boasted of being an NRA member, of course.

I guess he thinks Criminals Open Carry.

I’m in Ohio and Kasich will be at the convention, but not speaking. This from Cincinnati dot com. Can’t link - it’s a Gannett rag.

Why not? Lives are in danger here, blue lives and the black power groups have given notice, they’re coming armed.

There has to be laws on the books about getting too close to a presidential candidate, some laws to keep this from becoming the OK Corral.

Cruz of course still thinks he can steal the nomination, so not him. Jeb! don’t know how a pistola works, and if Carly was going to shoot anyone it would be Cruz. So that leaves Glenn “Stabby” Beck.

Good, exactly the right call.

Now the cops can decide which side they want to exchange mutual support and respect with.

No "guns for me, but not for thee", crap.

“Good.”

Are you nuts? You’re okay with a governor suspending the rights of his citizens? Better to call on the good judgment of his citizens and request that they do NOT carry near the convention. Better yet, ask them to stay away, so that the cops can take care of the bad guys who are bent on murder, mayhem, and destruction without having to worry about good citizens getting in the way.

Personally, unless I were a delegate, I’d stay far away from Cleveland. Not the least because I don’t like that city.

Nope. The BLM and assorted other DNC scum may try something, but between the massive number of armed Bikers for Trump, Trump’s own security detail (who are BAD### - I know one), the Cleveland PD, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Secret Service, they won’t last long.

“Why can’t Kasich declare the protest areas non-gun zones for that week?”

For the same exact reason that he can’t declare them no speech or no religion zones.

Anyway, of what practical use would such a declaration be, even if it was legal? Do you seriously believe that the bad guys won’t bring guns? Do you ThinkPad bad people will be more deterred, or less deterred, knowing that a whole host of civilians will be disarmed and unable to protect themselves, let alone stop them?

I suspect that the convention is where all hell is going to break loose and Obama will declare martial law.

Saw that too. He’s just parroting the line that armed citizens endanger the police. Would he also call for banning concealed carry?

Expect even more of this, like the police union representative, call to ban open carry. Just trying to advance the democrat narrative.

—Do factions of the establishment have a stand down plan to get Trump assassinated?
I am beginning to suspect that is so and maybe that is why Cruz was invited by Trump into the shooting gallary.-—

You do understand how completely wacko that sounds...?

I would suggest you get whatever meds you are taking to get the dosage checked...

Are we afraid of armed citizens now? Didn’t think so. I know the elites don’t trust the unwashed but so what?

Good is ultimately stronger than evil and always wins in the end. I suspect there will be one hell of a lot of good guys in the mix, whether open carry or concealed. The good guys may lose the first few innings but rarely lose the game.

The New Black Panthers made a headline grab by saying they would go to the convention armed. Let ‘em. Their mistake if they start big-time trouble.

You want a gun-free zone?! Haven't we seen enough with what happens in those areas? I understand Secret Service barring guns from the convention center, but outside of it, citizens should be free to exercise the legal and constitutional rights.

How about we arrest DNC protesters for conspiracy, for their actions, should they take any to disrupt the convention and harass and assault attendees? Zero tolerance. Jail them all.

Shephard Smith went off minutes ago, live against former LA Governor Bobby Jindal for Jindal daring to say;

“ALL LIVES MATTER”

Smith just told Jindal;

“Why would you say such a controversial statement, when it is so offense to blacks.”

Jindal again stated: “ALL LIVES MATTER”

Smith, all in a huff, just told Jindal that the interview has ended.

I saw the same statist SOB as you did. If I recall correctly, he was an officer in Nutley. As in New Jersey. I am from New Jersey but got out of that statist hellhole, and to Texas, as fast as I could) and I cannot think of too many states that are more anti-gun among government officials. While of course I completely back the police in this matter, and feel dreadfully sorry for the wounded officers and the families of those who have been murdered, taking away the civil rights of ordinary citizens is not going to stop bad actors from doing bad things. Such a demand is the knee-jerk reaction of a statist who doesn’t give a damn about the rights of the individual.
