IIRC Dick Cheney made a quick switch from Texas to Wyoming to become a VP candidate. I think it’s just voter registration.
To: JudyinCanada
Correct.
12th Amendment - President & Vice President cannot be from the same state.

No Trump needs to pick a younger man ...about 55yo so that he will still be youngish after 4/8 years to run for POTUS himself...

Think Twitter says announcement tomorrow is off
To: MayflowerMadam
Correct. The qualifications for VP are he must meet all the requirements to be president and he must be from a different state than the president.

Dunno, but I like Guiliani very much even though I know he is way more liberal than me and actually said that he likes Lindsey Graham.
Guy is very likable though in spite of some flaws.

No AG for Rudy. He is pro-abortion. But I could see him as Secretary for Homeland Security.

What was Bush thinking with Cheney, the guy that was supposed to be helping W pick someone?
What was Romney thinking about Ryan, a guy most people here back then thought was a brilliant choice?

"Thats incorrect, there is no law or regulation preventing a ticket from coming from the same state. All the Constitution does is prevent electors in the Electoral College from voting for a president and vice president who are both from their home state."

Thank you. We’ve gone down this road before on FR. The presidential and VP candidates have to be from differnt states.
