Check out straight talk that is sold at Walmart. It’s unlimited minutes and data. (all though they do throttle back the speed if you use too much I think)

We’ve had good luck with it... and it’s affordable.

My whole family has used straight talk for years. I am a retired truck driver and I have used it in several states and never had a problem with reception.
If AT&T or verizon will work there, so will straight talk.
You can ask the walmart employee to give you a phone that will activate on verizon or at&t depending on what works best in your area.
