Best or most successful?
GUNSMOKE has to rank right up there in both categories.

But if we are talking about the best, I have to cite a short lived show from a couple of years ago. THE BRIDGE.

LOL, I knew it would open a can but there are some very good suggestions.

It’s subjective and can’t be answered obviously but the nominees are good.

I really liked that show and was disappointed when it went off air.

The jerky camera style was good.

I watched the complete series of Breaking Bad, But it lacked any semblance to any real life experiences and observations I’ve made in over fifty years. Nobody talks or acts like the people in the series did.

First: “Get Smart”, the first two seasons.

Second: “Laugh In”, the first two seasons.

Third: “SNL”, the first two seasons sans certain overboard bits.

Honorable Mention: “The Tonight Show”, from Steve Allen through Jay Leno. That is an incredible run of a pretty funny, cool show.

This is one of those questions that just cannot be answered. At least by me.

I agree. You have to do different categories, such as sitcoms, dramas, police shows, westerns, science fiction, etc.

The remake of Battlestar Galactica (with a polite nod to Firelfy which was also outstanding).

I second that. Runnerup—Seinfeld

I grew up watching The Rifleman with Chuck Conners. Can you imagine a title of a TV program today named after a firearm with a white male as the hero?
