Once she has recovered & is allowed to forego forced feeding, she will forgive. Of course, you know this & accept the price. I am so glad of your success, as I arrive late to this thread & am unable to give very useful advice.

As a diabetic myself, we are to take dairy products at only moderate amounts. Good on you with the baby chicken diet.

That said, my better half has turned our cat into a dairy fiend. At least, it is he whom I blame. Silly, lactose-intolerant darn cat vomits it back up. So only a few licks from the empty bowl of whatever - ice cream, yogurt, cottage cheese - & then dispose of it quick or she’ll be wearing the bowl.

Beautiful little feline, your Ciel.

Thanks, Titan. When I went in just now, UPDATE:

Ciel looked bedraggled and not too beautiful. Her big blue eyes look so sad. But where was she this morning?? Up on the high platform bed with her “daddy” who was sleeping in. She was sitting in Egyptian position, and up high, meaning she had to do some jumping to get up there. He doesn’t take her up so she can be down near water etc. So strength is slowly returning if she leapt up there (there is a barstool to help her)!

Then she came down by herself and sauntered out the door. She went downstairs and sat forlornly looking into the downstairs water bowl. She does this, sits in front of the water bowl and doesn’t drink. I read this is common in cats with kidney issues. Anyway, I was ready for her with a food concoction and Med, so we went upstairs and she got her nasty meds, plus I have started giving her water by mouth too, then 15 ml (more than ever) of her favorite cat food mixed with coconut oil, vitamin b, a bit of acidophilus, and a few grains of Celtic salt for minerals.

I’m glad to see strength returning but she still is drooling and not grooming. I took her to the enclosed litter box and was happy she did her thing, but then she sat in there and just sat. So I had to pull her out.

At noon will do the daily fluid injection.
