John Derbyshire nonblack talk (He was let go from national review for this column.) I remember that. I looked up "the talk" to see what was wrong with it.
It's uncomfortable, and totally non P.C., but rather accurate in my opinion.
My recollection is that he wrote it in response to another "the talk" written by a black man about how his children should deal with white people.

In the second and third paragraphs, there are links to five separate articles written by black parents about having "the talk" with their children. He is apparently responding to the common thread of all of them.
