Comey is a genius

Posted on 07/06/2016 5:45:01 AM PDT by Travis T. OJustice

If Comey had recommended prosecution, they may have gone ahead and had a trial and cleared her, thereby making it impossible she could ever be tried again due to double jeopardy. As it is now, the next administration could come along and prosecute, as the statute of limitations would not have run out.

Lynch is the least capable player, therefore all the mud naturally gets shoveled on her.

He resigns, Biden steps in, pardons HRC, same result. We are hosed.

Ah, but wasn't it also the Senate (including Senator Biden) who certified the Electoral College's vote and thus perpetrated that fraud? IOW, wouldn't he in effect be pardoning crimes he was personally involved in?

This reminds me of “Karl Rove is a genius” nonsense that Rush Limbaugh use to say.

Or the "John Roberts is a genius" nonsense respecting the ObamaCare ruling.

I believe Laura Ingraham was referring to this post.

Man, I've been a freeper for like 15 years and never got this much attention outside of silly threads. LOL!!!!

If it were me, I’d pull out off the stops, as I would have released the indictment with full details from the steps of a chartered aircraft which I would enter and join my family in Malta or some decent country with no extradition treaty.

I'd have done more than that, I'd have recommended indictment of those involved in/with the Clinton Foundation for everything that could be charged, and that the Senate [save Cotton and Boxer] be indicted for the treason that is the Iran deal (literal, Constitutional treason), also mentioning that Obama was a co-conspirator by signing it into law. (Thus calling usage of pardon in that matter very, very questionable: after all no man is allowed to be judge in his own case.)

I’d like to be a fly on the wall at Comey’s house right about now. If he’s as fair and honorable as many say he is, then he must be SEETHING at all the crap being said about him these last few hours. Just look at the nasty names he’s been called in just this thread alone!

He’s being painted as a sell-out and a traitor and a blackmail victim, to name a few, and his good reputation is being trashed. What is that name-calling doing to him? What is his wife telling him? What is he telling his FBI co-workers to keep them from a mutiny?

I’m hoping that Comey is indeed as honest and upright as many suggest. If so, then he must be planning for the next round, making preps to protect his family, getting all of his prosecutorial ducks in a row.

Then we get to hear about the Clinton Crime Foundation and all of the influence peddling and foreign contributions and assorted skulduggery. That should be a wonderful show!

I thought the same thing. If he’s been warned off from recommending charges, he went ahead and laid out the case against her anyway. He could have not emphasized the negligence aspect as he did. I suspect he will resign soon, and it would be nice if he then went public with how the fix was accomplished. On the other hand, bad things happen to those who go against the Clintons.

Who knows his motivations. The speculation is that he didn’t want the FBI to get involved in a Presidential campaign. If so, it was a stupid rationale since the email scandal has been exacerbated by his decision not to recommend a prosecution. And the reputation of the FBI has been tarnished immeasurably. Comey should have just done his job and let the chips fall where they may.

Actually, he could have said a lot more and in a more direct way. If anyone else had done the things she did, I can assure you his statements would have been much, much harsher and critical. And would have unquestionably resulted in a recommendation for indictment.

This morning they were interviewing a former federal prosecutor on the radio. He said there were 7 others who had done things similar to what Clinton did - take classified documents out of their location. All pled ignorance. All were severely punished; ignorance was NO excuse in their cases.

I agree with you, I can only hope that the FBI sniper that shot her rots in hell soon.

Ruby Ridge and Waco proved to me that the FBI is nothing more than a bunch of thugs !!

"My trust in the FBI died with Vicky Weaver."

Mine was tragically wounded by the death of the children at Mt. Carmel.

The death blow was my personal investigation (for the Oklahoma Bombing Investigation Committee) of physics of the collapse of the Murrah Building -- and the FBI's lies and obstruction of justice in OKC.

(Guess what crime family was in the White Trailerhouse during all those tragedies...)

AND.....there’s nothing more that liberals love than a VICTIM. If Hillary was indicted, she would then be a VICTIM of the right and the liberals would rally round her.

Easy punch: PARDON!!!!

That's the weakness I see in the argument too. If Trump wins, Hillary is pardoned to end all chance of prosecution. It might create a political firestorm but no real political consequences. Obama is out of office and Hillary's career is over. Until Hillary is defeated, she couldn't accept any pardon without people asking why, if she is truly innocent, did she accept it?

OK, feel free to punch holes in my assertion.
_____

it doesn’t need holes, it has plenty. No offense meant, but this just makes no sense whatsoever. Come to grips with it—Comey either chickened out or is compromised. That’s all there is to it.

BUT to cheer you up, here’s a video split screen with Comey on one side. Hillary on the other. Ready-made Trump campaign ad:

I talked to a lady yesterday who said she can’t vote for Trump because he wants to stop immigration and our country was founded on immigration.

I clarified “illegal immigration” she just shook her head.

Frightening ignorant and willfully so.
