Read a story in a British Newspaper Website that a little Girl in Chicago had one hand blown off and lost the fingers on her other hand playing with Illegal Fireworks.
Sounds like something an M-80 could do. I think the kid was five. How could she light it? Where were the Parents?
Of course, other stories there included a Kid dying after falling out the Window at a NYC Public Housing Building and a Father who accidentally killed his child with a Handgun he was cleaning, or something.
Sad, but I’ve heard stories like that all my Life.
Just read an update. Looks like the poor kid had his leg amputated just below the knee and the authorities are now saying it was a pressure sensitive homemade explosive.
Of course the msm keeps trying to slant the “homemade explosive” angle as a homemade 4th of July thing like a firecracker. But what everyone forgets is that all IEDs are exactly that...homemade explosives.

Maybe the original intent of the policy, going back several decades, was benign (for example to prevent more casualties due to public panic). But during the reign of BJ Clinton I began to notice its misuse.
I’ve also heard of one person committing suicide by M-80. He put it in his mouth and his face was blown off. I was google searching for images of the galaxy M80, and got something completely unexpected.

Just my assessment from the initial story break and as someone that is darn lucky to still possess all original parts.
