As an aside, I just happen to be reading Ketchum's "Victory at Yorktown" and TJ did a lousy job as Virginia Governor preparing his state's militia for the battles swirling around it.

Jefferson was a thinker/dreamer. Management appears not to have been his strong point. He had the vision for our country and thankfully others were able to carry it forward. However his role was necessary and invaluable. I am thankful!
