Do these people think Trump is seriously going to just stand there and let it happen?

I think they should sabotage the nomination. Let’s see what happens.

The establishment, who are all a bunch of Globalists, neo-con artists, and open-borders toadies would rather see the establishment Clinton in office, because for them, it would be business as usual. Hillary has already proven her worth to them, she wants open-borders, and she proved with Libya that she is all in favor in never ending wars in the Middle East.

Any delegate that refuses to carry out their responsibilities as they pledged to do so implicitly by becoming a delegate should be replaced and banned from the convention. Its bad enough that we have justices, legislators, and executives that abuse their power without extending that to delegates who are being big babies and want to foist their will on the body politic regardless of the rules. You can NOT be a real conservative and support this kind of abuse of power.

I think the Plan is to let Trump have the nomination, but do everything they can to sabotage his campaign. They, they can say “We told you so” and try to run Ryan next time.

Personally, I will never trust Ryan again. Got two fundraising emails from his office. My response was both sharp and vulgar.

Even the liberal media is declaring #NeverTrump dead, there was a story on Politico that Paul Manafort has stacked the rules committee with Trump supporters (by a substantial margin) and their first act is going to be to “lock in” the rules from 2012. What that means in practical terms is Trump has already won the convention delegate vote because the 2012 rules “deem” a delegate as having voted the way their state voted whether they actually show up at the convention and vote or not or whether they refuse to vote for Trump or not. So essentially the convention floor vote means absolutely nothing. So essentially even if EVERY delegate refused to cast a vote for Trump, the convention chair would “deem” him the nominee by the final tally from the state election results and move one.

The only way I will vote for Trump is if the Establishment robs him of the nomination. Then I will write him in.

Otherwise, here in WA, my vote is meaningless, so I will vote my conscience.

I don’t believe a great many elites have any clue how narrow an edge their “game” is on. They’ve been getting away with so much for so long that the can’t even doubt that it will continue.

Of course there is a number of members of the GOP who are against Trump. I think this is normal. What is happening this election cycle is that the malcontents voice is being amplified, which gives the impression their cause has a great number of people behind it.

Looking at news stories, the same few names pop up. The #NeverTrump bunch doesn't have a movement. It is an insignificant group of malcontents.

I was a big anti-Trump guy but he beat 17 other candidates and did it on a shoestring budget. If the GOPe denies him the nomination, I will quit the party and write in his name if he doesn’t run on a third party.

Trump is the legitimate choice of the Republican voters. Right now I’m all in for Trump. Any attempt to undo the election and give it to anyone else is going to backfire and may result in a Hillary victory and the end of our Constitutional Republic.

At this point, I’m not sure if the GOP nomination would be an asset or a liability for Mr. Trump.

WASHINGTON - Today Chairman Priebus announced the Chairs of three of the Committees of the Republican National Convention. Former Governor of New Hampshire John Sununu will chair the Committee on Rules and Order of Business, also known as the Rules Committee. Former RNC Chairman and Kentucky National Committeeman Mike Duncan will lead the Committee on Credentials. Zoraida Fonalledas, National Committeewoman for Puerto Rico, will head the Committee on Permanent Organization.

“These three individuals will provide outstanding leadership for our convention committees,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “They have served the Republican Party admirably over the years, and they bring a wealth of experience to the committee process. Working together, we will ensure our National Convention is the finest in history and worthy of the next President of the United States.”

“I am honored that Chairman Priebus asked me to Chair the Committee on Rules and Order of Business,” said Governor Sununu. “The decisions made by the Rules Committee will have a tremendous impact on our Party’s capacity to do great things in the future. I look forward to working with the members on the Committee to produce a set of rules that will guide our Party as we work to better our country.”

“It is my privilege to serve as Chair of the Committee on Credentials,” said Chairman Duncan. “We will do our part to make sure the Convention is properly constituted with the Delegates and Alternates to nominate the next President and Vice President of the United States.”

“As National Committeewoman for Puerto Rico, it is a great honor and privilege for me to serve as Chair of the Committee on Permanent Organization for the 2012 Republican National Convention,” said Committeewoman Fonalledas. “I am looking forward to a great convention that will energize and unite all Americans.”

Committee on Rules and Order of Business (Rules Committee)

The RNC Rules Committee has been reviewing and modifying the Rules of the Republican Party for the past three years. These amendments will be presented to the RNC and then to the Convention Rules Committee, which will review these changes and propose final Rules, as amended, for adoption by the convention.

Committee on Credentials

The Credentials Committee will receive the credentials of each delegate filed in accordance with the Rules and submit the temporary roll of the convention, which will have been previously reviewed by the RNC. The Credentials Committee may hear and resolve appeals to the ruling of any contest adjudicated by the RNC Committee on Contests, as to the seating of delegates to the convention.

Committee on Permanent Organization

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus selects a number of convention officers, including the Permanent and Temporary Chairmen, the Secretary and the Sergeant-at-Arms. The Permanent Organization Committee will meet at the beginning of the convention to review the slate and make its recommendation to the convention.

This antitrump movement in the republican party is proof that the all the elitists want is power. I wasn’t a Trump supporter but by golly he won the nomination and I am going to fight for him tooth and nail. Trump is kind of a Teddy Roosevelt in the Republican party. He is a populist reformer who is making a lot of Rinos sick like Ryan, Bush(et al), George Will, , etc. Trump carries most of my hopes and dreams on his back, now. Anyone with a moral IQ above zero must and should vote for DJT!
