The beefing up of security in airports in the tri-state area was on the news this evening,then again,but to no surprise. The question/concern that must be bugging us is to what extent can security make sure we don't have a repeat of Turkey? Who knows how they are going to check every vehicle going into both major airports in New York. Maybe many locals have changed their minds and flight plans for this weekend? How secure are JFK and LaGuardia Airports at this point? Are they going to double security this week and onto next week?
I think I’d be watching out at fireworks displays, which feature a lot of people crammed together in the dark, looking up, tons of ambient noise, and zero security.
and just to add, god forbid anything happens anywhere in NY this week/weekend. and if so, how will Barry and Hillary explain it being apparently,ISIS is on the run.

i have been worried about this all month. i just cant imagine being a security guard at either airport this/next week. now these guys are really putting their lives on the line.
Not just airports, but any place with large groups of people.
Train and subway stations, sporting events and outdoor fairs. And 4th of July parades and fireworks shows.
But “our diversity is our strength”, right?
this is the first “Hold Your Breath” weekend. all we can do is count the hours without an incident. what worries me the most is cars.
and as large as manhattan is, yes, we have reason to be concerned. i dont know whats planned for Times Square this weekend, hopefully NO PARKING anywhere near it!
The only terrorist I would worry about at airports are TSA agents.
Isis will be elsewhere. Probably a large gathering somewhere in the free world. Big soccer match? Big Race meet?
Here in the states? I suspect their proxies in Chicago, New Orleans, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and others will suffice for them.
we can just see it now,,,all hell breaks loose, and maybe two days later Barry gives his speech, then goes back to his vacation. right?

Also remember the 3 guys (IIRC) that jumped up and pummeled the jihadi on the train in Europe when he pulled out his AK. If it comes to it, cops will stand and watch, waiting to be told what to do. We are on our own.

And Obama will show no emotion as he recounts what has been done to fight terrorists, what will be done, and that we will not rest until they are brought to justice.
Anyone else notice, Obama only gets emotional if he feels unfairly attacked by someone such as Donald Trump? Or gets emotional at the thought of banning Muslims refugees from this country, as per Trump’s proposal?? This is what gets him pissed off, not the fact that ISIS, or as he calls them ISIL, wants to kill us all.
Haven’t been near an airport in ten years - I won’t play Homeland Security’s silly games.....
The ONLY effective measure at US airports is the random screening car checkpoint. That extends the security barrier out well away from the terminals (and the gatherings of people which really is the target.) Otherwise, airports are just ticking timebombs with long lines of people who are just sitting there waiting to be victims on the wrong side of the security screening.
Now there’s a great plot twist for a Clancy novel.
The attack surface at a crowded event is the security screening areas, where the lines back up. We just saw how that works in Istanbul.
The only effective methods involve removing Muslims from the country - and removing public officials from office who make excuses for the Muslims.
I am not going near an airport or any other large crowd event for this holiday weekend.
Not going to any airports. Not going to any fireworks displays unless it’s from afar. Heaven knows there’s enough morons around here gonna set off their own illegally purchased firecrackers to scare all the neighborhood pets and make sure all local ER personnel are busy treating burns and damaged limbs (the morons have already been practicing; I can hear some in the distance as I type this). It will be a fine night to close all the windows, crank up the AC, and enjoy my new Sennheiser earphones watching a DVD. It will be far safer, too.
