Roland Emmerich has a problem. A very gay problem. You may know Emmerich as the guy that directs ridiculous summer blockbusters where all sorts of landmarks get all sorts of blowed up. Independency Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012. He specializes in wholesale destruction. You might even call it apocalypse-porn.
What you might not know is the Emmerich himself is gay, a fact thats only really been talked about for the last 10 years or so, and even then not so much. Hes made a few donations to gay film organizations, but apart from that the closest thing hed ever done as any kind of gay advocacy in his films was back in 1992, when gay men everywhere got thrilled by the sight of Jean Claude Van Dammes sweaty, naked, pumped-up, bubble-butt during one of the only memorable scenes in Universal Soldier.
That all changed in 2015 with the release of Stonewall, Emmerichs rather
shall we say
particular interpretation of the events leading up to and around the 1969 Stonewall Riots

Okay, I post an article from a gay site because I just, minutes ago, left a screening of the new "Independence Day- Resurgence" movie. My favorite character from the original movie was Brent Spiner's- "Dr. Okun." This time around, the director is a gay man and so, of course, Dr. Okun is gay, and has a lover. They make kissy faces all throughout the movie, and of course, they are the most honorable and selfless people in the flick.
As I left the movie, I said to my friends that this is simply the new normal. The perverts in Hollyweird are just going to keep throwing this crap at us. Sneaking smut like this into blockbusters so they get some play. Makes you just want to stay home. So, if you don't want your kids infected by this gay nonsense, keep them home. let them play baseball outside or something else constructive.
so there is homosexuality in the new Independence Day movie???
Sheesh.... They have to inject homosexuality into everything????
Hint: Why watch this crap? Save your money. Drive them out of business and show the homosexual agenda is a money loser.
Yes, because the true essence of life and all that matters on this Earth is where you stick your winkie.
I was going to go see this movie at some point, but now I won’t.
I honestly don’t have clue as to why the sexuality of a character is relevant when what he does sexually is going to be done offscreen.
Not just homosex. I saw a preview for this turd and the black panthers appear to be starring as well.
"In the first film, a nerdy scientist named Dr. Okun (Brent Spiner) who had been hidden away in Area 51 was used as something like a ventriloquists dummy by an alien and has been in a coma ever since, tenderly care for by his partner."
I thought, partner... maybe she means fellow scientist?? In the back of my mind I thought, they'd better not make him gay. They made him gay.
Thank you! I will definitely avoid this movie I had planned to see.
Everything. It is disgusting. There have been several shows that I liked but as soon as they put homosexuals in it, boom, off went the TV. Can’t think I am alone.
I hear you.
I have no television, and have given up on movies. At this rate I am heading toward the Hardshell Baptist interpretation of “be ye separate”.
Nothing wrong with that. You haven’t missed anything. Your IQ will go up.

Had planned to maybe see this but now will skip.
Thanks for the warning!
Now I don't have to go try and see the movie then walk out on it. I'll simply not go.
Independence Day: Regurgence
You are not. I gave up “Person of Interest” partially due to the sudden onset of homosexuality between the two female characters.
I wont be seeing it either.
Well, I did see the movie. Its entertaining enough, but not nearly as good as the original. They definitely went overboard on the CGI.
The relationship between these two is not overtly homosexual, but it is open to interpretation. Spiner’s character is in a coma for 20 years and the other guy is the Dr. that cares for him to the point of obsession. It is obvious the Dr. has some kind of crush that is maybe/kinda reciprocated by Spiner (again, not overtly—no kissing). The Dr. later dies and Spiner’s character gets very emotional about it. As to why....again, open to interpretation.
On the flip side, there are two other guys with a close relationship (both pilots) that I thought they might try to paint as gay but, as they movie progressed, they were clearly attracted to women.
