No, it isn’t fake. I’ve done volunteer work helping people do tax returns, and the Uber drivers I met were NOT making money. Every Uber driver I met, after we worked on their business return (Schedule C), decided to quit.
I've ridden in taxis, and I've taken Uber rides in the past couple of years. I'll take the Uber, please. If I get into an accident with Uber, it's no different than an accident driving with a friend or co-worker. I would expect that my medical insurance will take care of things, whereas getting into litigation with a regular cab company doesn't make me feel any more comfortable.
No I don’t, but Yellow cab is a long established company with deep pockets and corporate insurance.
The point is: No one is pissing and moaning but you. These reports are poo-pooed ny uber defenders and quashed at every turn. These reports merely try to expose the truth.
Hypocrites are using a service solely designed to enrich investors while upending the economic lives of millions. Those same hypocrites still brag about the greatness of uber while ignoring that it’s a progressive business model akin to an economic bomb, not a free market stimulus.
