I take polls seriously and try never to dismiss ones whose results I don’t like, but something is fishy about these polls showing HRC with a growing lead. There’s been a recent terrorist attack on our soil, Trump has been more visible and impressive this week, and HRC seems to be hiding. So, what accounts for HRC’s supposed growing popularity?
Earlier thread about this. The poll taken apart.

The article implies it’s because Trump hasn’t raised any campaign funds at the time of the poll. That doesn’t make any sense to me, that someone would switch a vote based on that.
Neither of the candidates is actually wildly popular this time around so maybe hiding as you say she seems to be doing helps.
Hillary and her advisors learned the important lesson from her previous run for the presidency.
She is most likable when the people know the least about her.
When the public is not exposed to the real Hillary they can imagine the most likable and desirable Hillary possible.
When Hillary has no press conferences or public speeches her poll numbers climb. When she has press conferences and makes public appearances her polls fall.
Any chance of Hillary winning depends on her exposing herself as little as possible to public view; a precarious balance of not too much exposure to reveal the woman behind the curtain but enough to maintain the appearance of her actually running for office.
That's the reason. When she's out of sight the media gins up her popularity. When she opens her yap all hell occurs.
You nailed it. All evidence tells us that Hillary support is nowhere near Trumps and particularly lately that gap would be growing wider. The “Trump trailing Hillary” polls are as phony as obama.
The love of the Ministry of Propaganda, of course.
