I have a facebook account under a silly name that I use to log into other sites to make political comments.
Today facebook has demanded that I upload a photo ID from a state-issued driver's license, passport, military ID card, etc. before I can log in again.
I have screen shots of the demands that I will upload to this thread when I get home.
It may be time to go dark on the Interwebs. My spidey sense is tingling.

Yesterday FB asked he to change my password to make sure it was really me posting on my FB page. Gee I wonder if its because in the past week or so I’ve suddenly started posting pro gun anti Muslim content? LOL!
The entire reason for a global website in which everyone who joins has to publically provide everything but their Social Security Number/Citizen Number is obvious:)
Something to consider is whether an official ID has imbedded information encoded steganographically into the photo; if, the image is a digital photo, rather than an imbedded photography print included within a lamination.

My husband told me some friends at work had this same problem. People were reporting them for one reason or another. They didn’t use them anymore because they refused to upload IDs.
So is using a Social Security Card for ID, but every official demands it anyway.

Had to. NOBODY is getting copies of any ID if I can possibly help it. It is already far to easy for malicious sorts to steal your ID as it is. I’m not allowing some faceless employee access to any personal information whatsoever.

Probably, he stole the idea from his buddies, so reason stands that he can’t think of a password.
facebook never asks for that. you have some other issue going on with your FB.
I should add it has never asked me, or anyone I know. I know lots of people on FB with variations on a name. I post just about nothing but anti obama, pro 2nd amend etc. my account is my real name though- BUT I never use it to post elsewhere. to post or comment elsewhere you can create any number of other accounts such as google+, discus etc.
