Cops are on the hunt for Sinead O'Connor after someone in her family told cops she's threatening to kill herself.

Chicago PD got a call from Irish authorities saying Sinead contacted her family an hour ago and said she was suicidal and planned to jump off a bridge in the Chicago area.

We're told cops actually spotted someone who looked like she fit the profile but it wasn't Sinead.

In Chicongo, she doesn’t have to find a bridge, all she has to do is walk through Southside at night.

I saw her 2 years ago in a bar in NYC. I thought they finally got her meds right - she looked fit and happy and killed it for two hours. Great show! I shot a bit of video too. Mountains of talent and tons of problems. I wish her well.

Sometimes, suicide is a final act of a severely depressed individual. This trait of being prone to severe and reoccurring depression often runs in families. Think of the 20th Century writer Ernest Hemmingway.

There were at least five suicides in his family over four generations; Including the writer’s own at age 61, Hemmingway’s father Clarence, Ursula, one of his sisters, Leicester, a brother and Ernest’s youngest son Gregory who died in 2001 as a Transexual named Gloria. It didn’t help that most the family was also prone to alcoholism.

Why hasn’t Chicago banned bridges? Obviously if it were not from bridges, there would be no suicides.

She is trouble, but jumping off a bridge will only end her trouble in this life.

p.s. It’s probably a good thing I am not a Chicago cop as I would be urging her to jump.

And keep her there. It's pretty obvious she will stop taking her mess once they cut her loose, as is quite common for those in her situation.
