Will Wendy's have to pay social security for each kiosk that displaces an order taker?
Will banks have to pay social security for each ATM that displaces a teller?
The possibilities are endless!

Instead of coming up with all these ludicrous justifications, why don’t they just pass the “we are going to take 40% of everything you make every year no matter what” tax and be done with this nonsense.

And they’ll have legal fights over whether or not the automated ordering kiosk in the restaurant is automation enough to have to pay taxes.
Or they’ll go back to one outsourcing model I saw where the restaurant ordering was done by someone in India who talked to you via VOIP and typed up the info presented to the kitchen staff. Then they would avoid the automation tax AND paying local people under this scheme.
Outsourcing taking orders? I haven’t seen that one. I pray Trump is elected.
