I am so paranoid I’m getting leery of websites!

I dropped Carbonite when they did that and told them why I was dropping them. I replaced it with iDrive which jumped in to fill that ad space and is still a sponsor of Rush’s show.

BIG MISTAKE! iDrive, it turns out, was happy to take my money for two years (the second year was an automatic debit which I had completely forgotten about). When I had to take my computer in for repair, I learned that iDrive was not protecting my computer as advertised. I called iDrive and asked them to look into it. Sure enough, they were not protecting my computer and had not been since day one, but they were neither willing to refund my money nor troubleshoot as to what the problem was. My only option was to take the loss and block them from debiting my account again. In short, the product sucked as did the customer service.

I’m going back to Carbonite unless I find something better. Besides, I’m done with Rush. I thought I could never do without Rush’s show, but it’s been a gift to get back 15 hours of my week after devoting those hours to his show for a couple of decades.

I got a notice from Avast (the free version) that I needed to change my passwords. I assumed it was a gimmick to get me to upgrade to their paid version. Now I’m rethinking. I wonder if something really is going on.

I had Carbonite on a prior PC and had a subsequent crash. They were unable to retrieve anything because I could not find some kind of code they supposedly issued when I bought it. Lost all files and photos.

I also began my relationship with computers in the days of the main frame, card punching, fortran and fan fold paper searching for the mistake in the code.
