The Republican measures might have bee hastily written, but I guarantee that the Democrat measures have been written well in advance, and are structured to infringe on the Second Amendment to the maximum amount thought possible to pass.
These are the same restrictions attempted 3 years ago. In that attempt they tried to build support over several months. They failed, but not by much. It was a close thing, hard fought, and we won.
This time, they attempted to push it through with lightning speed, voting before the funerals were finished. The thought was to get it through while emotions were high. It failed spectacularly.
We are winning on this issue.
Didn’t these measures go down because they failed to attain 60 votes? Did they not all at least achieve a simple majority?
Doesn’t say much for the GOPe majority, IMO.
