It’s not theft. She pays for 4 screens/devices That’s what she gets.
I pay for 2. I get 2. I share my login info with my sons. But it does not matter how many I share with. Can only use 2 devices at one time.
It does not matter who watches on what device. We are using what we pay for.
http://instantwatcher.com indexes and searches Netflix and Amazon Prime and podcasts.
I would like to see Google create a good search mechanism for Youtube. Trying to find anything on Youtube is an effort in futility.
Amazon Prime did mess up recently — now they allow uploads of short videos and clips. It really messes up their listings having to filter through that junk.
Crap on me. I owe you an apology. It’s late. I’m tired. Mixed posts up in my brain.
So sorry!!!
All illegal downloaders squeal like pig when their own bank account numbers and credit card numbers are stolen.
Odd how it is moral to enforce copyright on their own credit card numbers but other artist’s copyright on movies and music should be violated and free.
No ridiculous taxes and fees = best part about going streaming.
You can also get a $20 paper thin 50 mile antenna for local HD / digital channels and get your sports/local news fix. Paired with a $30 DVR box is a sweet setup.
$5/month for PBS gets you a ton of content via Passport. The a la carte pricing for HBO Now, etc. is great — you aren’t locked into anything. So you can switch it off for the summer and resubscribe again in the fall to catch up on any shows you missed.
I’m actually overwhelmed by all the streaming content available between Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, etc.
u-torrent is theft of creative product....long term if everyone did it there would be no new content.
No problem.
That looks really helpful, thanks!!
I imagine Netflix figures most of their customers are like me and won't notice or really care if they raise their price a couple of bucks.
It would be swell if Netflix and Amazon put up new movies at a better pace. Neither has had a new movie I feel compelled to watch in several months. I canceled both.
There’s always going to be some that drop with any rate hike. That’s life. I doubt it will be a lot though. $10 a month is simply nothing, even truly poor people can scrape that up.
Unfortunately, I live in an apt and I've tried literally a dozen antennas. The cable company gave me a discount with local channels and internet so I just went with that.
There’s a couple of aggregating websites that search the content of multiple services. I’ve never bothered to use any (I only have Netflix and Prime and I almost never use Prime, I really should but I never get around to finding stuff there), but I know they exist. I doubt they’ll get you the content, but you can at least figure out which service has what you’re looking for.
Did you try putting it on a window facing the direction of the signals?
Netflex was bitten by the Produce Our Own but that bit HBO and most of the other pays. I liked Netflix years ago for the Film Nior but there isn’t much of that anymore.
I’d go Stream for TCM and a couple others but you can’t record.
Netflex will be gone as soon as they raise their price.
I will say this: I am cutting back on these type of services/products etc. That’s because times are tough - no raise from SSA worth a hoot; and I’m having to dip into deferred comp big time. It’s just about budgeting.
Once Trump is president, the middle class will do better. I’m waiting for that.
Netflix is great for watching documentaries, but their movie selection to stream is poor. I’ve been considering Amazon prime instead, but reviews of its selection aren’t very good either.
I agree with you 100%.
I don’t, and will never steal content. I believe the people who created stuff should reap the fruits of their labor. This even goes for actors and musicians I despise.
The sad thing is, a lot of people will rationalize it completely.
I have had Netflix for a long time...I like it for watching movies I would never rent or get around to watching, just because they may be old and obscure. So I am watching a lot of movies from the 40’s through the 60’s I missed out on.
I tried to watch a Netflix produced Western comedy with Adam Sandler, and about 5-10 min in, pulled the plug. It was bad.
