I prefer firearms for these type of situations. That is why several readily accessible firearms are placed around the house.

That could be used if for some reason I did not have one on my person.

Last time I checked, mountain lions are not bullet proof. Neither are coyotes or wolves.

911 is not an option when hiking in the wilderness.

Which is why the vast majority of animal attack vics are Leftards...Conservatives go about in the woods and their remote property suitably armed...

Nature’s way...Predators pick off the weak, slow and the stupid, and thereby improve the herd...

I see no downside...
