Because he speaks out for conservative principles and routinely rips the left apart.
He drives them crazier than anyone because he’s gay and refuses to stay on the liberal plantation.
He’s getting more and more of a conservative following precisely because the left wants him dead. (Not exaggerating. He gets death threats from liberals daily and this speech was shut down just yesterday because of death threats at the university. Ironically, a Christian Church is hosting this today.)

The speech itself is a great speech. Literally great as in landmark speech.
He explains clearly:
1) why Islam is a problem
2) why the left is turning a blind eye to Islam
3) why minorities (and in particular gays) need to abandon the left
