According to Islam, if she was gang raped and then murdered, she was a despicable, filthy whore for allowing herself to be gang raped and deserved her fate.

Dubai is a very liberal place. Women can wear Western dress. You can drink alcohol. Women can drive. I used to go there many times while living in Saudi Arabia. There used to be a major expat softball tournament there twice a year drawing teams from all over the Gulf.

Christians account for 9 percent of the total population of the United Arab Emirates, according to a ministry report, which collected census data. The Christian population in the UAE is exclusively made up of foreign expatriate workers; there are no Christian Emirati citizens.

The government recognizes various Christian denominations. Christians are free to worship and wear religious clothing, if applicable. The country has Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox churches along with Protestant and Roman Catholic churches. Among the Protestant denominations in the country are the Christian Brethren, the Coptic Evangelical Church and the Evangelical Alliance Church.[6] Other denominations are the Arab Evangelical Church of Dubai, Dubai City Church and the United Christian Church of Dubai. The Anglican Communion is represented by the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East.

The importation and sale of religious material is allowed; however, attempts to spread Christianity among Muslims are not permitted. Non-Muslim religious leaders reported that customs authorities rarely questioned the entry of religious materials such as Bibles and hymnals into the country.

The government does not permit churches to display crosses on the outside of their premises or to erect bell towers. Christian men are not allowed to marry Muslim women. Conversion from Islam is not permitted. In spite of this, a 2015 study estimated some 200 believers in Christ from a Muslim background, though not all of those are necessarily citizen of the UAE. Public schools have no Christian religious education.

Why in the world would you call Dubai liberal????

They practice sharia law. They do not allow conversion or proselytizing. There NO native Christians.

Because they sell alcohol and don’t kill the infidel immediately on the spot?

They make huge amounts of money from their fellow arabs by selling them alcohol

Funniest thing I saw one night in Dubai was when I walked into a bar and watch the antics of this Arab dude, in full-flowing regalia, stumbling around, piss drunk.

It is all relative. Dubai is liberal compared to most of its neighbors in the region. It is day and night compared to life in Saudi Arabia.

They do allow the practice of Christianity and the importation of religious materials like bibles. There are churches. Women are not covered up on the beaches. With almost 10% of the residents expatriates and many from the West, it is a place for those living in more repressive regimes to come and relax.

Bahrain is similar. The Saudis built a causeway between Dhahran and Bahrain so the Saudis could go there and party.

Your facts do not include that Dubai is a country that practices sharia law

Dubai is not a country. It is part of the UAE. Its practice of sharia is different than that practiced in SA.

This thread is about the death of an unidentified white woman. IMO it did not happen because of the way she dressed. I base that on my 12 or more visits there and living 7 years in the region.
